1. Who We Are
1.1: RepairHVACnow operates an online lead-generation and marketplace platform that connects users with independent, third-party HVAC providers and, in some cases, larger service organizations that may route your request to their own technicians, affiliates, franchisees, or contractors (“Service Providers”). We respect your privacy and want you to understand what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices available to you.
1.2: This Privacy Policy applies to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you (“Personal Information”) collected on the Site and in related online interactions, as well as limited offline collection (e.g., phone support). By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge this Policy and our Terms of Use.
1.3: If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site or provide us with Personal Information.
1.4: We may update this Policy from time to time. 2.6 Retention: We retain Personal Information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by category and context. When determining retention, we consider the nature of the data, the purpose of processing, legal requirements, and security needs. When data is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify, or aggregate it.

- Referring/exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, time/date stamps
- Session data, error logs, performance metrics

3.3.1: You can control some cookie settings via your browser; some features may not work without them.
3.4 Information from Third Parties and Public Sources
3.4.1: We may receive Personal Information from marketing partners, ad/analytics networks, public sources (e.g., business/license portals), and Service Providers (e.g., limited status updates). 4.1: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Targeted Advertising & Remarketing
5.1: We work with advertising and analytics partners to deliver interest-based ads and measure effectiveness. Partners may collect data about your online activity across sites/apps via cookies, pixels, and similar tech.

7.1 De-identified/Aggregated Data
We may create, use, and share de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated data (which cannot reasonably identify you) for analytics, research, and business purposes. We will not attempt to re-identify such data except as permitted by law.

9.2: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Any transmission is at your own risk. We are not responsible for unauthorized circumvention of privacy or security measures.
11. Children
The Site is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 16. If we learn we have collected such information without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
12. Confidential or Proprietary Submissions
Do not send confidential or proprietary information to us through the Site or email. Submissions (ideas, feedback, suggestions) are deemed non-confidential; by submitting them you grant us a right to use them without compensation, consistent with applicable law. We will not publicly attribute your name without permission or legal requirement.

14. State Privacy Rights (U.S.)
14.1 U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., California CPRA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut, Virginia VCDPA, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others) may grant residents certain rights, which generally include the right to:

14.1.2: To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity (e.g., by matching email/phone on record). You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law; we may require proof of authorization and your verification.
14.1.3: We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (or notify you of a permitted extension, up to 90 days total). Where available, data portability responses will be provided in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
14.2 Virginia (VCDPA) | Appeal Process
If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal within 30 days of our decision by emailing sales@repairhvacnow.com with the subject line “VCDPA Appeal” and an explanation. We will respond to your appeal within 60 days. If we deny your appeal, we will provide you with a method to contact the Virginia Attorney General to submit a complaint.
14.3 Colorado / Connecticut / Oregon | Appeals & Universal Opt-Out
14.3.1: We provide a similar appeal process for Colorado, Connecticut, and Oregon. Email sales@repairhvacnow.com with subject “State Privacy Appeal” and your state of residence.
14.3.2: Where required (e.g., Colorado), we recognize approved Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms (UOOM), including recognized browser/device signals like Global Privacy Control (GPC), to opt out of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising to the extent required by law.
14.4 Sensitive Data (where applicable)
We do not seek to collect sensitive data (e.g., precise geolocation beyond IP-based region, health information, government IDs). If processing of sensitive data becomes necessary, we will obtain opt-in consent where required by law.
15. Colorado Data Protection Assessments (CPA)
For processing activities that present a heightened risk of harm, including targeted advertising, certain profiling, or activities that may be deemed a “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information, we conduct Data Protection Assessments as required by Colorado law and maintain documentation of these assessments.
16. Third-Party Websites & Apps
The Site may contain links to third-party sites or apps. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. If you use third-party sites or apps to access our Site, your activities there are governed by those parties’ policies.
17. Governing Law
